Crawl Space Insulation Installation in Longview & Kelso
Insulation hanging from the joists, soaked or missing? We remove what's failed and install new insulation under your floors, after checking for the moisture problems that usually cause it to fail.
- Removal of fallen, wet or damaged insulation
- New insulation installed between the floor joists
- A moisture check first, so new insulation isn't set up to fail

Common signs
Signs your crawl space insulation needs replacing
Insulation hanging down
Batts sagging out of the joists or lying on the ground.
Wet, matted or stained
Insulation that's heavy, flattened or discolored from moisture.
Missing sections
Gaps between joists where insulation has fallen or was never installed.
Cold floors
Floors that feel noticeably cold in winter can point to missing or failed insulation below.
Torn up by pests or past work
Insulation pulled apart, nested in or left disturbed after other repairs.
Insulation usually fails because of moisture. We look for the cause before replacing it.
How it helps
Why crawl space insulation matters
In a vented crawl space, insulation between the floor joists helps separate your living space from the cold, damp air below. When it falls down, gets wet or goes missing, it stops doing that job.
We remove damaged insulation, check for the moisture that caused the problem, and install new insulation fit to your floor framing. If your crawl space is being encapsulated, we'll explain how insulation fits into that plan, since the approach can be different.
- Remove old, fallen or wet insulation
- Install new insulation between the floor joists
- Secure it so it stays in place
- Flag moisture issues that could damage it again
We won't promise a specific energy savings number
Comfort and energy use depend on the whole house. New insulation can help your floors, but we won't quote you a utility savings figure we can't back up.

Questions
Crawl space insulation questions
Why does crawl space insulation fall down?
Usually moisture. Damp air makes fiberglass heavy and it sags out of the joists. Insulation that wasn't secured well, pests and past work under the house can also pull it down.
Do you remove the old insulation?
Yes. Damaged or fallen insulation comes out before new insulation goes in, and removal will be part of your estimate.
What type of insulation do you use?
It depends on your crawl space and floor framing. We'll recommend the type and explain why during your estimate.
Will new insulation lower my energy bills?
It may help, especially if insulation is missing or falling down, but we don't guarantee savings. Your bills depend on your whole home, your heating system and how you use it.
Should I insulate if my crawl space is damp?
Moisture should be dealt with first, or new insulation can fail the same way the old insulation did. We check for that during the inspection.
